Closing the Performance GAP in Your Business
James Wedmore

👇 TL;DR: This Week in The Digital CEO Weekly 👇
✅ Real strategy starts by tackling what’s going on between your ears... and that's exactly why most people don't actually get what they truly want.
âś… Improving performance doesn't happen with MORE information. It happens when you turn knowledge into knowing... and why live events hit so deep and create lasting results.
✅ Your growth isn’t just about you - making true thought leaders and authorities the catalysts for change in others’ lives.
From the Desk of James Wedmore:
"What the heck do they do at those events?!"
If you recall in my previous newsletter, I mentioned I was facilitating a live in-person event last week!
So many of our clients are having their breakthrough year and we've still got four months to go! It’s incredible to watch them launch their first product and go to $500,000 in sales in just one year!
So people often assume that when I bring them together in a room, I’m simply sharing the secret launch strategy that I've been gatekeeping from the rest of the World!

Ha!
YES... I’m always sharing the latest when it comes to what’s working in our industry, and that’s always changing, but there’s a much more important focus that emerges during these events…
Because let’s get honest: this business can be really, really fucking hard. But not hard in the way that most people think.
Success in this industry is super simple: attract your audience and sell them what they want.
Create great, magnetic content, and run promotions for irresistible offers.
Do that to more people, more often overtime, and you’ll not only make money, but you’ll keep growing.
That's it!
But that’s not what is hard for most entrepreneurs in the digital product space…
What’s really hard is everything between our ears...
It’s important we acknowledge that stepping into a role of being an Authority and pitching yourself and your content to a group of strangers is unbelievably confronting. It shines a massive spotlight on all the creepy crawly thoughts, beliefs, and stories we tell ourselves.
And to truly be successful long-term in this industry, you must be willing to confront all of that.
There is no other way.
Let’s be honest, most people aren’t willing to go there (not a coincidence that most people aren't successful either).
But for those who are, and I hope that’s you, not only is that unbelievably courageous, but it unlocks the secret to a RICH and FULFILLING Life.
Because in the pursuit of healing and letting go, we begin to awaken more potential and Personal Power within us.
You discover more of who you are and what you’re truly capable of... and yes! You’ll hit those goals, and that’s wonderful!
But you’ll be left with something far more valuable and lasting: your own inner growth.
And as you know, you take yourself with you wherever you go!
But that's the REAL reason this business is so hard.
Tech has never been easier. Reaching new audiences faster has never been more accessible. And... there is training and support for everything you could possibly imagine today!
IT'S NEVER been easier and more possible than right now in this moment in time.
All ya gotta do is... do it.
But most won't. They use the Boogie Man of "tech" or "overwhelm" to mask the real fears they are unwilling to confront.
It’s only hard because you make it harder than it needs to be. As humans we have such a hard time letting go. We hold on to the past, to fears, to protection mechanisms. Even logically when we know it doesn’t serve us.
We hold onto it so tightly. It’s in our unwillingness to let go that makes things so much harder than they ever need to be.
Letting go of the fear of failure (you will have failures).
Letting go of the fear of judgement (oh, they will judge you).
Letting go of the burdens and pressures of responsibility (yes, there is more responsibility at the Top).
And we can all walk back to that simple truth: "when I let go, I let in. And what I let in is so much more than what I let go."
This is the journey.
I began 19 years ago. Something intuitive within me offered a knowing that if I truly wanted to be successful doing this, I would have to go to work on myself. And I did. And I still do.
Because it’s endless.
Because your potential is infinite.
So for me, it’s an honor and a pleasure to work with true leaders that are completely purpose driven and committed to their own growth so they can serve at a higher level.
Watching them be vulnerable and honest and introspective and play full out during our events brings the greatest smile to my heart. Because I know that’s what it truly takes and they’re willing to do that.
And I think today, the concern I have for most people is they think closing the gap means filling in knowledge that they’re missing. In other words, they convince themselves, "the only thing preventing me from getting where I need to go is more information. More content. More steps."
And although that CAN be true, I also see plenty of people that seem to know everything yet have so little to show for it... and then they use learning as a distraction to avoid uncomfortable work.
So, for example... let's say you’ve created that podcast, you’re posting those reels, you’re doing your promotions, but something still feels off. Things just aren’t working.
How much more content do you think you really need? Sure some cool hacks can help... but is that really all that's missing?
You see, most people are just acquiring knowledge like they’re collecting Pokémon cards, never realizing that the true work is about transforming Knowledge into Knowing.
Knowledge INTO Knowing.
THAT'S why these events are so special and so powerful.
This environment creates an opportunity for more awareness, reflection, integration, and embodiment.
We can learn about fear and what it is, and we can even agree that living life from fear does not get you where you wanna go, right?
But let’s be honest, how much is fear still present in your life? How many nights do you lay in bed still worrying about something? Making decisions FROM fear?!
Let’s take leadership as another example. You could read 20 books on leadership, take a test and get an A+...
But is THAT leadership?
Does knowing concepts about leadership make you a leader in your industry?
You can also learn about concepts pertaining to Universal Laws that govern reality - principles such as the law of attraction which remind us to be more intentional with our energy and our frequency so we can be the vibrational match for what we truly desire.
But as we look back and reflect, how often do we mismanage our energy? Doubting our goals, lacking belief, tailspinning every time there’s an inevitable roadblock.
See, there’s tons of things we know, but until we master and live from this knowledge, it’s just a bunch of data points and thoughts that we store in our brain.
This isn’t high school. You’re not graded on how well you can memorize.
The Universe and the marketplace respond to your energy. This is what we call your Operating Field.
You can KNOW that you should have faith and conviction in your vision for your life and business, but if doubt is there, it is there. If fear is there, fear is there. Whether you try to hide it or not, it’s still there.
And everyone and everything is responding to that.
And in this industry especially, this work matters.
Why?
Because let’s face it: no matter what niche you’re in, you have competitors. Your market has options. They will choose the leader that most embodies leadership and mastery, not who has the best logo, the cheapest price or the coolest name, but the individual who has the personal power to lead, coach and hold space for others.
So we don’t just do this inner work for ourselves, we do it because it’s one of the greatest ways to be of service to others.
Your growth facilitates the growth in others.
And that should be a commitment you take on every day. Because every day offers a gateway to a new insight or breakthrough. Every challenge, problem or breakdown is just a finger pointing from your higher self to an area where you can expand.
And instead of being the person that turns the other cheek or buries their head in the sand, you can use the light of your attention and awareness to face it head on. To get curious, to recapitulate, to journal, to ask the tough questions, and to let go what no longer serves you.
So yeah, I get it. This is hard. It can be really tough.
But that’s the tough work you signed up for. And you are tougher. Because whatever you truly, in your heart of hearts desire, you don’t only deserve, but that’s what is meant for you. So you have what it takes.
And it won’t be easy. But everything that was acquired through challenge and upsets is something rare that we can honor and value. It brings more gratitude into our life. You have more respect for it.
And we recognize that’s why so few people have it. Not because they weren’t smart enough, good looking enough or capable enough, but simply because they chose differently. They chose to take the easy way. They chose to give up when it got hard.
But not you, you keep going. You don’t choose hard or easy. You choose what is necessary.
"What is the necessary right path for my own expansion and growth so that I can build the business of my dreams, create a better life for my loved ones, and be a greater impact to other souls out there?"
You see, it’s human nature for most people to run away from responsibility. That’s why they have little results or success in their life. Because success requires responsibility.
Lean into it. Acquire more of it. Discover how much responsibility you can manage. And grab it!
Be responsible for your business. For your team. For the countless lives of people in your marketplace that might hear your message.
And don’t misconstrue my words.
You are not taking on responsibility for someone else’s life. You are taking responsibility for the role you play.
The role of being a business owner...
The role of being a teacher and a coach...
The role of being a Digital CEO...
Take that on with power, presence and conviction, and watch your life and business transform.
