This One Thing Has More Impact on Your Growth and Sales Than Anything Else

👇 TL; DR: This Week in The Digital CEO Weekly 👇
✅ This One Thing Has More Impact on Your Growth and Sales Than Anything Else: If your business isn’t growing the way you want it to, this is the one place you need to look first.
✅ Your Product Is NOT Your Offer: Most entrepreneurs confuse their content with their offer – but only one of those actually drives conversions.
✅ 3 Core Ingredients of an Irresistible Offer: A high-converting offer comes down to dialing in the Promise, the Process, and the Price – and understanding what your audience really wants.
✅ One Gear Down. Four More to Go: Your offer is just one of five gears that power a scalable business… and I’m breaking down the rest inside The Rise Of The Digital CEO, starting in just 3 days.
From the Desk of James Wedmore:
Did you know that in just the past 10 years, the Global eLearning Market grew by over $200 billion? đź’°
And if you’re a coach, course creator, or digital entrepreneur with a personal brand… that’s your industry.
I've been right here – in the trenches – during all of it.
What a ride!
I’ve witnessed the growth, the expansion, the explosion of opportunity. I’ve watched my clients go from $0 to multi-six and even multi-seven figure businesses, all by stepping into this world of digital products.
And that 10-year expansion also makes it easy for those sitting on the sidelines to assume “I’ve missed my opportunity.”
Well... YES... and NO.
So let me set the record straight.
I can say with 100% conviction: the window for “get-rich-quick” opportunity seekers to get into the game of Digital Products is OVER. If you just want to make a quick buck but have nothing of value to offer the World and you don’t give a damn about actually helping people...
...well that ship has sailed my friend. 🛳️

But if you’re like me and the incredible entrepreneurs I work with – people who genuinely care, who want to serve, and who have something real to offer?
Then buckle up. Because the next wave is going to be even bigger. 🌊
The eLearning Market is projected to GROW by another $550 Billion in just the next 8 years! That’s more than double from the last 10 years!
Translation:
We are still so early.
We haven’t seen anything yet! Nothing!
We are barely scratching the surface!
So whether you're thinking of getting in or you’re already in the game...
👉 It’s time to get SERIOUS!
And with my once-a-year virtual event, The Rise Of The Digital CEO, starting May 29th, I want to pull back the curtain on one of the BIGGEST game-changers we’ll be diving into during this 3-part training:
Your Offer.
No single ingredient has more of an influence and effect on the health and success of your business than your Offer.
Think about it!
You couldn’t find me one successful online expert in the entire World that has a "bad" offer.
An offer no one wants.
Because it’s the offer that made them successful.
And if things aren’t working quite the way you'd like them to in your business, this is the first place to look. So we’re gonna spend some time doing that today.
And one of the reasons this topic is so top-of-mind for me right now is because of what’s been happening over on The Mind Your Business Podcast. I’ve been doing a series called The Course Chronicles – a behind-the-scenes journal of me creating and launching a brand-new offer from scratch.
And if you haven’t heard the results yet, you will on the podcast. But spoiler alert…
…we sold out the offer in less than 30 seconds!
❌ No sales page.
❌ No webinar.
❌ No ads.
âś… Just an email.
âś… A killer offer.
âś… And a checkout link.
That’s the power of nailing your offer.
So bottom line: you can have the biggest list in the world, or you can follow all the steps to the perfect launch…
…But if you have an offer no one wants, it ain’t selling.
So let’s fix that, shall we?
Your Product is NOT Your Offer
So… what is an offer?
Let’s get something straight:
An offer is not your product.
Your product is your product.
Just because you’ve got 8 beautifully recorded modules sitting inside Kajabi doesn’t mean you have an offer…
It just means you’ve got a bunch of videos in Kajabi. đź«
Your offer is the pitch itself.
It’s the ask.
It’s the quid pro quo – the “this for that” that makes someone say, “YES, I want that!”
Let me demonstrate this for you right now:
I have a product that I charge $100,000 for. No joke.
Now pause for a second – as you’re reading this, are you even remotely interested in giving me $100K?
Probably not, right?
Fun fact: I asked this in one of my trainings, and every single person said hell no.
But then I told them what the actual offer is:
👉 My team and I will personally partner with you.
👉 We’ll come in and work with you side-by-side inside your business.
👉 And our only goal? Get you to $1M in revenue within one year.
👉 Once we do that, then you pay me the $100K.
Fun fact number two: As soon as I pitched the offer, everyone on the live Zoom call changed their tone. They weren’t just interested – they were begging for it.
Why?
Because I MADE the actual offer. And it was one that was irresistible. (It actually tapped into the 7 essential ingredients needed for an Irresistible Offer!)
So here’s the point I’m making:
If you’re spending too much time talking about your modules, your slide decks, or your perfectly formatted PDFs… you’ve already missed the boat.
Your offer has one job:
To speak directly to the deepest desires of your ideal client.
What do they already really want?
And how can you package your solution in a way they actually want to receive it?
And I hate to break it to you: most people don’t actually want what you’ve got. 🤷‍♂️
They don’t wanna “learn.”
They don’t wanna watch 73 videos.
They don’t wanna sit in front of a computer listening to you talk for hours.
Heck, let’s be honest: YOU don’t wanna sit in front of your computer reading this newsletter, do you?
Is that your dream? To read newsletters every day? Your biggest goal is to spend 30 minutes reading words on a screen?

Didn’t think so.
BUT (and this is key)...
If someone sold you on what this email could do for you, and what it might unlock in your business…
Suddenly you’re willing to slow down and read every word.
That’s why you’re here, right?
So remember: your offer is not the content.
It’s the communication of the value, the outcome, and the exchange.
And how you communicate that offer is everything
So let’s dig into the first three ingredients of a high-converting offer...
3 Core Ingredients of an Irresistible Offer
If your offer isn’t selling the way you want it to, let’s look at three ingredients that absolutely must be dialed in:
âś… 1. THE PROMISE
This is the heart of your offer – the transformation.
It’s what gets your audience to lean in and say:
“Yep. That’s what I need. That’s what I’ve been looking for.”
But here’s the thing…
Your audience only knows how to describe the SYMPTOM of their problem.
That’s the part they experience.
Let me give you an example:
If someone has a splitting headache, they’re not sitting there saying…
“Hmm… I think I’m chronically dehydrated and need to address my electrolyte balance.”
Nope. They’re saying:
“I have this throbbing pain in my head. I need this headache to go away. Like, now.”
...and if you came along and said, "struggling with dehydration?", they would say, "no, I have a headache."
đź’ˇ So your promise MUST meet them at the symptom they are already experiencing (the headache).
You’ve got to speak directly to the symptom, the pain point that they know they have, before you can ever educate them on the deeper cause.
So when you craft the promise of your offer, ask yourself:
-
WHO is this for? (Get specific – niche down.)
-
WHAT clear, external problem are they aware of?
-
WHAT is the specific result they’re willing to pay for?
And then, beneath that, we uncover the real gold:
The internal transformation they didn’t even know they needed.
What becomes possible when this problem is finally solved?
What’s the ripple effect in the rest of their life?
What do they believe about themselves once they solve the problem?
Your job is to speak to both:
👉 The obvious, tangible result they want right now (to be headache-free, more sales/revenue, ideal weight, their dream romantic partner, etc.)
👉 And the true transformation that changes everything else (lifestyle, self-worth, identity, etc.)
And that... That’s what people are paying for — NOT your course.
🔄 2. THE PROCESS
Now – once they’re sold on the destination, THEN they care about the vehicle to get there.
Your process is HOW the transformation happens:
-
Is it a course? A membership? A coaching container?
-
Will it be delivered live? On-demand? In-person?
-
Will they get access to you? A community? Accountability tools?
And here’s a little secret most people miss…
👉 You can have the same promise… delivered through totally different processes.
(Inside The Rise Of The Digital CEO I'll show you my framework for choosing the RIGHT Process for your offer!)
đź’¸ 3. THE PRICE
How much should you charge? How much are people willing to pay?
This is a biggie... and it trips most people up... big time!
I'll expand upon all of this in The Rise, but for now, I want you to consider two Pricing Principles that have served me well:
- Price determines WHO you attract. That's it.
- Whatever you DO charge, deliver a minimum of 10x the value. No exceptions.
And here's the truth:
The right price can increase perceived value and establish your offer as the best solution in the market.
But the wrong price? It can send the signal that your program is cheap, generic, or low-quality.
So instead of asking, “What would people pay for this?”...
Ask: “What is this transformation actually worth?”
So until you have an irresistible, home-run offer that’s dialed in across those three dimensions – Promise, Process, and Price – you’re likely in the phase we call Offer Alignment.
Offer Alignment is the phase where you’re still trying to figure out what your offer is. And until you’ve unlocked it, it's gonna feel pushy, hard or a lot of effort.
The antidote to this? The Beta Launch.
This is exactly what we use to find that winning offer.
And what a lot of people don’t realize is that my signature Monetize Before You Make It strategy (which I break down step-by-step inside Business By Design) is not just a clever way to make fast cash…
👉 It’s an offer test.
👉 And it’s an offer in and of itself.
Here’s how the beta offer sounds:
“Hey, I’m going to do this thing live. It’s going to help you solve [very specific problem]. Later, I’ll package it up and sell it for a lot more. Right now, I’m just looking for a small group of founding students. Want in?”
This strategy taps into several psychological principles:
✔️ It has novelty
✔️ It has curiosity
✔️ It has higher perceived value because it’s live
✔️ It answers the question “why”
✔️ It has scarcity and urgency
✔️ It even taps into an identity: founding members
These ingredients are all ripe for testing if you have the seeds of a great offer.
It’s practically engineered for validation.
And the best part?
If you do this and NO ONE BUYS – that’s still a win. ✅
Why? Because you didn’t just spend 6-8 months building a course that no one wanted.
Instead, you…
-
Got clarity on what your audience actually wants
-
Learned more about your people
-
Saved time, energy, and sanity
-
Built a real business based on real data

And that’s the point of the beta: It’s not a cash grab.
It’s a validation tool. A filter for finding your next breakthrough offer.
Too many entrepreneurs try to skip this step.
I get it. You wanna get on with making sales and growing your business, but how are you supposed to do that when you don’t know what your people will actually buy?
In fact, we find that a lot of clients and students that come to us are struggling because they’re trying to build out a launch messaging and marketing plan around an offer that has never been validated or tested. They tried to skip this altogether.
And I’m here to tell you no amount of great copy, AI, or messaging will ever fix a bad offer.
Only a great offer will fix a bad offer.
So if you want your offer to become truly irresistible – here’s what needs to be true:
✅ It speaks directly to what your ideal client already wants – and even things they didn’t know they needed
✅ It’s positioned as the best, right, and only solution to their problem
âś… The price feels like a no-brainer compared to the value and transformation it provides
✅ It transcends “content” and delivers value in innovative, low-consumption ways (we’ll go deeper into this at The Rise!)
✅ And beyond beta – it’s backed by real case studies, testimonials, and transformation stories
And finally…
✅ It gives people a reason to make a decision NOW... not “someday.”
Because someday isn’t coming.
