Problems aren't just inevitable... they are essential. Without problems, you'd be out of business!
Because... We are in the business of solving problems. And being in business means we will always experience problems. The trick is to get really extraordinary at solving them.
So what is a problem?
Here's my simple definition of "problem": a problem is simply a label we give to a current circumstance or situation that we, in our current level of awareness, perceive to be preventing or thwarting the very outcome we desire.
It's a mouthful, but simple. A "problem" is a just a word we use to categorize a particular circumstance. And we believe this circumstance will PREVENT us from getting what we want.
...and therein lies the problemo.
The moment we declare (with the power of your powerful word) "I have a problem," you are simultaneously declaring to yourself in the Universe, "I can't get what I want." That's why you feel all the disempowering feels when you're IN a problem.
That's also why Alby Einstein so famously declared "You can't solve a problem from the same level of consciousness that created it."
So let's cover a few powerful Truths...
One, since we live in a Dualistic Universe, the Law of Polarity shows us that everything is simply two sides of the same coin (Hot & Cold, Left & Right, Good & Bad, etc.) Then it is Universal Law that you cannot have a problem without a solution. Period.
Think about that for a moment. A problem CAN'T exist without a solution simultaneously existing. Yet, the very definition of a problem includes not believing a solution exists!
So the only problem with problems is thinking there's a problem... thinking that you can't actually get what you want. That's a lie.
I also believe that more than one solution always exists.
Most people feel stuck or in a predicament because they don't like their options. Well, that's life. You'll always have to make tough choices, but you can also expand your consciousness outside of your limited box of thinking and realize that there are more options than just the one or two that you've been hemming and hawing over.
Here's another simple Truth:
In business, all problems are a problem of the MIND or a problem of the WORD.
Let me explain.
When it comes to anything that you are experiencing in your life currently that you have labeled or declared a problem, it is purely a problem of the Mind. This is why I will always declare everything truly is mindset.
If a problem is simply a label for a circumstance, then the real problem is how you are viewing that circumstance. The cognitive lens or frame through which you view this circumstance is creating and perpetuating the problem.
For example: if you SEE "I have a small audience" as a problem... that is the cognitive lens through which you view the size of your audience. From here, you declare powerfully, "I can't launch. I can't grow. Blah blah blah."
But if you saw it more accurately, you would see something quite different.
With this "small" audience, you have massive opportunity to do unscalable things that those with a big audience CAN'T do. Like... connect on a deeper, 1-on-1 level, offer more intimate interactions, and actually CONVERT higher.
In fact, I see a ton of students of mine that have multiple six-figure businesses, and they still have small audiences. Why them and not you? (Answer: they are using the Power of the Mind more effectively than you.)
This is simply a problem of the MIND. Change your mind and you'll change your Life.
Then you look at all the other problems in your business. This is usually performance issues. Sales are low, landing pages and converting videos aren't being watched.
All of these are a problem of Word. By Word, I mean copy, communication, and messaging. This is a skill. It must be learned. More accurately, it must be mastered.
One word change, let alone one new headline, can take a failing campaign into the most successful. This is a problem of words. A problem that can be solved with better words.
But here's where this gets really fascinating: what are the words doing? The words are simply a tool to change someone else's mind.
So all the problems you're encountering and declaring are a problem that can be solved in the mind. All performance and conversion problems in your business are problems that can be solved with words. That's because words are the most powerful tool to change someone else's mind.
Both of these are one and the same: the stories we tell ourselves and the stories we weave for others.
This is why I've been saying for years how you see anything determines what's possible. Once you learn how to do that masterfully, you simultaneously can do it for others. This means you can change the way your clients, your prospects, and even an entire marketplace sees something, and then they change as well.
If you truly want to work on something this week, work on cultivating more awareness of your mental strategy for approaching problems.
Where does your brain go that hijacks creativity, innovation and expansion? Slow down. Get present. Become aware of how you SEE something... how it OCCURS to you... then work on SEEING it differently... in your mind.
To the degree in which you can do this for yourself is the degree in which you can do it for others.
