The 7 Things That Will Absolutely Make Your Digital Product More Irresistible (and Transformational)
James Wedmore

š TL; DR: This Week in The Digital CEO Weekly š
ā What Makes a Digital Product Actually Work? Itās not just about content... itās about building a container that accelerates transformation and REAL results.
ā The 7 Things That Will Absolutely Make Your Digital Product More Irresistible (and Transformational): Real, strategic upgrades that make your offer irresistible⦠and just implementing a couple could change everything.
From the Desk of James Wedmore:
As I write this weekās newsletter, Iām sitting in a massive 10,000 sq. ft. Airbnb in sunny Phoenix, Arizona⦠what my team and I have appropriately dubbed āThe Launch Houseā.
Weāve taken over this place while running our biggest event of the year, broadcasting my 3-part live training series, The Rise Of The Digital CEO, right from the studio down the road.

But TODAY is a big dayā¦
We JUST officially opened up enrollment to welcome the 2025 Class of Business By Design for the one and only time this year.
And we are already breaking all sorts of records:
The most registrations weāve ever had... by far!
The highest number of LIVE attendees ever!
Largest FB Group size!
And a few more internal metrics that we like to track... personal records broken!
And that got me thinking...
What actually makes a digital product work?
What makes it not only irresistible⦠but truly transformational for the people you serve?
So I want to break down 7 powerful ingredients you can add to your digital program that go way beyond content and training videos.
Because letās be honest.
You can give someone a library of information, but that alone is not what creates change.
Real transformation happens when people plug into the right container ā with coaching, accountability, and support.
Itās like when Neo gets plugged into the Matrix⦠and suddenly, he downloads everything at once. š„

Thatās what a great program can do ā get students to learn faster and see results quicker.
And if youāre still piecing everything together solo, doing the whole āfigure it out approachā⦠letās just say that costs a LOT more in time, energy, and missed opportunities.
So if you're building or refining your own digital offer, these 7 components are the needle-movers that create a stellar program.
And quite frankly, if youāre not employing even just a handful of these ingredients, it might be time to start sooner rather than later because the market is changing, and the people you serve are hungry for REAL growth and transformationā¦
ā¦not just a handful of videos you made.
Not only will this help your students get better results⦠itāll also help you make more sales, because these ingredients directly address the biggest objections people have about investing in themselves.
So letās dive in. š
Ingredient #1: Transcending Content is the Only Way to Thrive in 2025 & Beyond
Let me take you back to 2017.
I was on stage in front of 2,000 people when I first introduced this concept:
š If you want to remain a market leader, you must transcend content.
Because hereās the truthā¦
'Content' itself is quickly becoming a commodity.
Whether it's your LLM of choice, a YouTube video, or a quick Google search, no one on the Internet is struggling with a lack of content. It's the opposite really. Most have TOO much content, and don't know what to do with any of it. And in a sea of "copycats," what's stopping anyone from "copy & pasting" someone else's content and making it their own?
...well, nothing.
So, content itself is a commodity.
And if your program positioning is simply "I have content," then your BRAND is gonna start to feel like a commodity too.
Now, this isn't a "bad thing" at all... I mean it is, if you don't change. But if you see the opportunities I see, it's a GREAT thing.
So, what do I mean when I say ācontentā?
Iām talking about the āhow-toā information youāre delivering to your students:
š The lessons.
š» The modules.
š¬ The videos.
Even if itās the best content in the world⦠thereās still a big GAP between your students consuming that content and implementing it.
One of those many barriers is the TIME and ENERGY spent consuming it. I have to spend the time to watch it, then time to learn it, then time to implement it. But what if you could collapse those so your students get to implementation mode faster?!
And many other barriers exist as well, including the beliefs, perspectives, or cognitive lens through which your students choose to consume that content.
Which often sounds like:
ā āThis feels too hard/overwhelming.ā
ā āI donāt think this will work for me.ā
ā āIām already behindā¦ā
If they donāt believe itās possible, donāt see how it applies to them, or they perceive it as too difficult, etcā¦
ā¦then guess what?
THEY WONāT APPLY IT.
Theyāll disengage. Theyāll freeze. Theyāll ghost your "content-filled" course.

But that same student still has the problem they need solved. And the desire to solve it. (And as long as your marketplace exists, then the need for their problem to be solved exists too!)
So the real question becomes:
ā”ļø How can you too begin to transcend content?
ā”ļø How can you create something that actually solves your marketās problems in a unique, powerful, and unforgettable way, while providing an extraordinary experience for your students?
Are you offering a bunch of videos slapped together in a Kajabi courseā¦
Or have you developed your own framework, methodology, exercises, or experience that guides people to results?
How can you begin to turn your content into more curated, expedited tools and experiences that your students can implement quickly to see results faster?
Things like:
š Checklists, Processes, Resources
šŗļø Maps
š¢ Calculators
š Flowcharts
š¤ AI tools
š§ Powerful exercises
...and more!
Itās not just about having the best content.
Itās about delivering that content in the most effective, efficient, and empowering way possible for your users.
I think thatās why our students love Business By Design so much.
Itās a step-by-step Lego style instruction manual for your business:
āļø Your launches.
āļø Your marketing.
āļø Your content.
āļø Your entire digital ecosystem.
Yes, I give all that to YOU, but as our BBD members already know, itās easier than ever before to hand these off to your virtual assistant or team member so they can get to work doing the busy stuff your business needs.
And thanks to AI...
Itās also never been easier to build out software, calculators, quizzes, and other powerful digital tools that support your students while they go through your content ā boosting results and reducing friction.
Thatās how you transcend content.
Thatās how you lead the market.
Thatās how you create transformation.
Ingredient #2: Coaches, Community Managers & Support Systems
Hereās something youāll notice once you start enrolling students into your program:
š Theyāre looking for guidance. Theyāre looking for support.
They want someone to hold their hand and say, āHereās what to do next.ā
They want to know theyāre not alone when they get stuck.
They want to feel like someoneās in their corner ā cheering them on, answering their questions, and helping them course-correct when things go sideways (because letās be honest⦠thatās part of the journey.)

Thatās why incorporating coaches, community managers, or ANY level of trained support into your program instantly increases the value of what you offer.
It turns a self-study course into a real transformation container, where students donāt just learn, they actually DO IT.
Our Coaches inside Business By Design go through a complete 90-day business coach methodology training where they become trained and certified to provide the highest value and support for our students.
ā They answer questions daily in our private Coaches Corner forum.
ā They run Live Office Hour calls on Zoom multiple times each week.
ā And they help students break through blocks, clarify strategy, and move forward faster.
This level of support means our students never feel like theyāre doing it alone.
And that makes all the difference.
So whether youāre just getting started or already have a course up and running, ask yourself:
How can I start integrating more support structures into my program?
When your students feel seen, supported, and guided ā they show up more, stay longer, and get better results.
And thatās what itās all about.
Ingredient #3: Trained AI Bots for Faster Results
Okay⦠I have to be honestā¦
This might be the one Iām MOST excited about. š¤
Hereās why:
After coaching thousands of students, Iāve seen one particular moment trip people up again and againā¦
Itās that point when theyāve finally carved out time to work on their digital product⦠and suddenly theyāre staring at a blank screen thinking:
ā āWait⦠who is my ideal customer?ā
ā āWhat exactly do they want?ā
ā āHow do I even begin writing a sales page⦠or creating a webinar slide deck???ā
I get it.
Trying to define your audience⦠articulate their pain points⦠write compelling copy⦠design a sales pitch⦠itās A LOT.
Especially when youāre doing it all for the first time.
But not anymore.
š Thanks to AI, we can create specifically trained bots that perform these valuable tasks that are typically time and energy consuming.
Things that would have stopped students dead in their tracks before will now catapult them forward.
And that is the BIGGEST transformation weāre bringing to Business By Design this year.
My team and I have spent the last 6 months building out an entire suite of custom-trained AI bots ā tools that are fully trained on the BBD curriculum and designed to eliminate the guesswork, the busywork, and the overwhelm.

These bots arenāt generic chat tools. Theyāre laser focused assistants built specifically to help you grow and scale your digital business.
Inside BBD, our AI bots will help you:
ā CRAFT your irresistible offer and pitch from scratch
ā UNCOVER deep insights about your ideal customer ā revealing things you didnāt even know to look for
ā WRITE sales pages, webinar outlines, launch emails, and more
ā AUDIT your landing pages, your messaging, and even your launch performance
In other wordsā¦
š„ The bots do the heavy lifting.
š« No more blank pages. No more blinking cursor syndrome.
ā© Faster results. Less stress. More progress.
We designed these tools so our students spend less time STUCK⦠and more time SCALING.
Thatās what these bots make possible ā and weāre just getting started.
Here's an example of one of our Offer Bots:
Oh! And for TODAY ONLY, we have an "Enrollment Day Bonus" for new BBD members: The Build-a-Bot Workshop! I'll teach you how to start creating bots FOR your products and programs to help your students!
Ingredient #4: Create a Culture (Not Just a Community)
One of the most overlooked ā yet powerful ā parts of building a digital product?
š The culture you create around it.
And no, Iām not just talking about setting up a Facebook group and calling it a day.
Anyone can start a group.
But not everyone creates a culture ā a real sense of belonging, shared values, and energetic alignment.
In Business By Design, weāve spent years cultivating a space where students donāt just show up to learnā¦
They show up to belong.
Because when people feel safe, seen, and supported, they go further. They share more. They take bolder action. And they stay in the room longer.
So how do you create that kind of culture inside your program?
Hereās whatās worked for us:
ā Define Your Community Values
Create 4ā6 core values that every member embodies ā things like radical responsibility, progress over perfection, or collaboration over competition. These values become the energetic anchor of your space.
ā Build Shared Experiences
We run giveaways, themed challenges, Zoom celebrations, and even host real-life meetups for our students. These moments create connections beyond the content.
ā Set (and Enforce) Clear Rules
Every space has boundaries. Protect your groupās energy by setting expectations from the beginning ā and donāt be afraid to moderate. Your job is to uphold the vibe you want people to feel when they log in.
ā Celebrate Member Wins Loudly
When one person wins, we all win. Thatās why we highlight our membersā success stories⦠not just the six-figure launches, but the āfirst sale ever,ā the mindset shifts, the big decisions, the tiny breakthroughs. Itās all worth celebrating. š
Because at the end of the dayā¦
People arenāt just looking for a course.
Theyāre looking for a home base.
A place where they can belong.
People crave belonging⦠and the culture builds it.
And when you build it right, people stick around ā not because they have to, but because they want to.
Ingredient #5: Live (Virtual) Events
Thereās something magical that happens when you show up live with your people⦠even over Zoom.
Whether itās a coaching call, a hot seat session, or a live Q&Aā¦
š That real-time interaction builds momentum, trust, and connection in a way pre-recorded content just canāt touch.
And that adds tremendous VALUE for your students.
Inside Business By Design, I host +8 LIVE calls and my coaches do +3 Office Hour Calls a week for the first 90 days inside the program so everyone can get as much support as they need!
ā Students feel seen.
ā They get direct feedback.
ā They stop lurking in the content and start implementing.
Fun Fact: The Rise Of The Digital CEO (my BIGGEST free training every year!) used to be a pre-recorded 8-part video seriesā¦
ā¦but the year we decided to turn it into a Live Virtual event?
We had our biggest launch ever. š
So if you want more testimonialsā¦
More buzzā¦
More breakthroughsā¦
Do your content LIVE.
Ingredient #6: Live (In-Person) Events
Now letās talk about another kind of live experience ā the kind that doesnāt happen through a screenā¦
In-person events.
I feel like live events are quickly becoming a lost art... so many students have no friggin clue what they are missing by not meeting up in person.
And honestly? That's a shame.
š Because thereās a level of connection, clarity, and confidence that only happens when you bring your people together in the same room.
You can FEEL it ā the energy, the breakthroughs, the shared mission.
Walls come down.
Ideas spark.
And suddenly, everything starts to click.
Thatās why we host BBD LIVE ā our 3-day in-person experience exclusively for BBD students.
And every time, we hear the same thing:
āTHIS is where it all came together for me.ā
If you want to deepen your client transformation (and your brand loyalty) consider adding a live retreat, meetup, or small-group intensive to your program.
Oh, and bonus?
Youāll walk away with tons of testimonials, behind-the-scenes content, and fan-favorite moments you can capture and use for future marketing.
In a digital worldā¦
In-person connection is your secret weapon.
Ingredient #7: Give Them Something to Hold (Physical Products)
And because we live in a digital world, we do soooo much digitally:
š» Your course is digital.
š» The coaching is digital.
š» The community is primarily digital.
š» Even the wins and testimonials are videos and screenshots. š
But hereās the thingā¦
š Thereās something powerful about giving your students something they can actually touch and hold in their hands.
Something real.
Something tangible.
Something that makes the transformation feel⦠solid.
Thatās why we include beautifully printed materials in Business By Design ā from manuals to journals and even stickers ā all shipped straight to your door.
We use a company called Vervante, and they make it ridiculously easy to print and ship high-quality workbooks, journals, and other physical products alongside your digital program.
And guess what?
Our students love it.
Itās not just a box in the mail. Itās a physical representation of their commitment.
It anchors them into the experience.
It enforces the excitement and momentum to get them started.
So if you want to create a more immersive and memorable experience for your students?
Give them something to hold onto⦠literally.
People Don't Buy Programs, They Buy Results.
If thereās one theme that ties all of this together, itās this:
š People donāt buy programs. They buy results. š
And the more intentionally you engineer how your students get those results, the more irresistible your offer becomes.
Now look ā you donāt need to roll out all seven of these ingredients tomorrow.
But pick ONE.
Just one.
And commit to implementing it this quarter.
šÆ Your students will feel the difference.
š Your sales will reflect it.
š¬ And your community wonāt stop talking about it.
Hereās to building something transformational, something that doesnāt just teach⦠but changes lives.
