Okay… it's kind of a miracle that you're reading this right now. 😅
Because we just wrapped up our entire launch for the Business By Design Class of 2025, and after a whirlwind two weeks of teaching, coaching, and the most high-vibe panels and Q&As we’ve ever done… I gave myself permission to REST all day Friday!
So I really didn't know if I would have the time, energy or inspiration to write this newsletter for today.
But here’s the thing…
...so many of you have been writing in or sending me a DM on Instagram with your feedback and praise for this newsletter. And that? That gave me the nudge to sit down and get this out there.
So today I’m keeping it simple and sharing a quick list of 15 cool, effective, and slightly unconventional things that we did in our launch this year to make it one of our biggest yet!
If you’re in marketing mode, or just love seeing how we do what we do, you’re gonna want to write these things down.

I just want to pause for a moment and say THANK YOU.
To every single one of you who participated in any way inside The Rise Of The Digital CEO this year – whether you showed up live, watched a replay, asked a question, shared a breakthrough, or simply soaked it all in quietly behind the scenes…
The feedback, the kind words, and even just the open hearts and open minds that you came with, is quite moving.
As some of you saw, both Jenni and I had moments where we were moved to tears during the whole event. And it’s because this isn’t just a “launch” to me – this is my life’s work.
This business has given me the kind of freedom I never imagined possible:
🌵 Living in magical Sedona, Arizona
👫 Working alongside my future wife
✈️ Traveling the world (off to Hawaii in a few days!)
⏰ Designing our own schedule
💸 And getting paid to make an impact
…all of which is truly a dream come true.
And here’s the truth most won’t say out loud…
We’re living in chaotic, uncertain times. The World feels heavy for a lot of people right now. And it’s totally normal for fear and doubt to bubble up… to have concerns about your future.
Which is why this work... your work... is more important than ever.
Some people that are new to me might think I'm just a marketing coach here to give you a hot take on a new funnel or something...
...but those that have been in my world for some time know that that's not the case in the slightest.
And if I'm being brutally honest, Business By Design is your trojan horse.
It's a trojan horse for something bigger.
This is about creating sovereignty, more freedom, more flexibility.
This is about ACTIVATING more light within you to be the GUIDE... the LIGHTHOUSE for others.
Business is just the Playground through which your growth, expansion and next evolution can unfold.
Because true growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
It happens when you set your sights on a new VISION, a NEW TARGET, a NEW TIMELINE... and you do so with absolute conviction and certainty... you DECIDE therefore it is done... and you realize the simple truth:
👉 If my life is ever to change, I first must change.
Therein lies a simple cliche reminder: it was never about the destination, but rather the journey.
The journey to discover YOU. The real you. Who you REALLY are... what you are REALLY capable of.
The version of you that’s been buried under all the fear, excuses, and conditioning.
The destination (aka the goals, the money, and the clients) is merely there to give you the courage to start.
So for any of you on that journey, wherever you find yourself, I commend you.
Most people live their whole lives on the sidelines of life. Trapped by their own fear, reason, and circumstances.
But not you. You transcended those 3D human manifestations, and rose above.
You took action. You leaned in. You went beyond the fear and dared to believe something more was possible.
And here’s the ripple effect most people don’t realize…
When you do that… you give permission for others to do it too.
Your commitment to your growth and expansion is the GREATEST act of service to others, not just because you show them the way, but because you BECOME the proof of what’s possible for another human being.
So yeah, I couldn’t not send this today.
Because for that, I thank you.

1️⃣ The Confirmation Video Overhaul
Once someone registered for The Rise, they were greeted with a confirmation page and a “thank you” video.
This year, I decided to create a +16 minute video. The reason is simple: this is when your people are ENGAGED. So, I included a lot of important ingredients in this video, including:

Testimonials and Case Studies
If you’ve got a hot lead on your hands… give them a reason to lean all the way in.
2️⃣ Intent-Based Email Replies
Every registrant got an email asking what they’re most excited to learn. The CTA was to simply hit “reply” and let us know.

This was cool for two reasons:
1) It boosts email deliverability.
2) Gave us real-time survey data on our audience that I got to comb over and throw into ChatGPT for analysis.
3️⃣ YouTube View Retargeting Strategy
We tried a new type of Ad Campaign this year (I don’t have data on it yet, so sorry!) where we ran a Facebook Ad DIRECTLY to a YouTube Video.

Then, we created an ad specifically to those who WATCHED the YouTube video.
We got cheap clicks on YouTube, and now the theory is (stay tuned for debrief numbers) that someone who watches a 13 min content-heavy video is MUCH more qualified, then a person clicking a random FB Ad who doesn’t know me at all!
Cheap clicks + longer video views = more qualified prospects.

4️⃣ Live Chat = AI-Testimonial Engine
For the first time ever, I was able to throw in the Zoom chat transcripts from our live trainings to pull powerful data.
And what we found was GOLD:

Turns out that the chat is a data mine. ⛏️
5️⃣ Business By Design Platform Makeover
Behind the scenes, the BBD platform got a massive facelift this year, which included our brand new army of trained BBD bots.

And whenever I posted a sneak peek of what we were building? People were OBSESSED! Like drooling!
Proof that when your product evolves, it sells itself.
6️⃣ Beta Launch → Lead Magnet
As part of our runway this year, we did something pretty cool and unique:
I ran my OWN Beta Launch and documented the whole thing on my podcast (The Course Chronicles).
People were blown away at how simple I keep things and how easy launching can really be, and it really gave people clarity on what is possible with simple action!
7️⃣ Cool FREE Resources + Early Bird List
Throughout our live trainings, we gave our attendees cool free tools, resources, and software to use, like calculators, PDF checklists, guides, etc.
And right on the landing page for each one of those free tools? A CTA to get on the “Early Bird Enrollment List” for BBD 2025.

We are still compiling the data, but over 50% of those people on our Early Bird List joined BBD this year... highest number I’ve ever seen!
8️⃣ Some Ninja Email Marketing Tactics
Jenni and the Growth Team did some really cool stuff to optimize and improve the email marketing side of the launch. Here's just a few examples:

Asked people to “reply” to emails to create engagement in the inbox

Used NEVERBOUNCE software to remove fake and duplicate emails to keep our list clean

MASSIVE ADVANCED segmentation. This means, instead of emailing one email to everyone... we would break up our list into smaller segments with more targeting based on past behaviors they have already made. THIS gave us some of our highest open rates of all time!

We added different forms of “media” to the emails – animated gifs, banners, voice memos and videos.

Jenni even hijacked my inbox! She took over and sent a few emails from herself (changing our Sender name to “The Future Mrs. Wedmore”), which was fun!
9️⃣ The Cart Open "Rush" Bonuses
I loved this idea, and I'm a little embarrassed I haven't done it sooner.
Basically we gave a few bonuses out for the first few buyers that joined this year.

The first member to join BBD this year got a private 1:1 session with me, and the first 100 got a private group call with me.
The bonus sold out in 1 hr and 15 min, and we hit $1M in sales before 9am of Cart Open Day! So... this one WORKS!
1️⃣0️⃣ The Alumni Zoom Chats
This is really cool as well: we invited our attendees to come join me on Zoom, and gave them the opportunity to talk directly to an alumni of BBD inside a private breakout room.
Our attendees had a chance to ask the hard questions to REAL members of the BBD community without feeling like they were being sold to or having to hear some aggressive pitch, and people loved it!
1️⃣1️⃣ The Case Study Panels
This was the first time we did this, and it was a massive success.
In between the live trainings for The Rise Of The Digital CEO, Jenni hosted a series of live panels with BBD students on particular segments or demographics related to our audience.
We had panels on beta launches, unique niches, starting memberships, 6 and 7 figure launches, etc.
Attendees could come on and ask these amazing panelists any question they want, and the feedback was incredible. And frankly the best part for me was that Jenni got to host them which allowed me to conserve my energy during the launch.
1️⃣2️⃣ Case Study Ads
Here's a fun fact: Our highest performing Facebook ads were all case study videos.
Basically Jenni interviewed a ton of our students on all the success they've had inside Business By Design, then edited the videos down to two and a half minutes and turned them into Facebook ads.

Authentic. Powerful. And they worked.
1️⃣3️⃣ Put It All On The Podcast
We didn’t just host The Rise trainings… we repurposed everything.
As a lot of you know we have a big podcast that gets a lot of listens, so we took all the content from the launch and put it on the podcast as well.
The case study panels, replays of The Rise, Q&As – all of it went on to the podcast.
So even if someone missed the live experience, they still got an opportunity to experience the transformation.
1️⃣4️⃣ The 12-Pay Giveaway
This is one of those fun clever ideas we came up with at the last moment.
On Wednesday of last week, we decided to release a 12-pay option into Business By Design.
That's a really exciting day for a lot of people, so we decided to celebrate by creating something called: The 12-Ways to Win for 12 Hours During the 12-Pay Party Day!

It’s a mouthful, but it’s really simple.
Every hour (starting at 12pm of course) we gave away prizes to the first 6-12 people who signed up during that hour. I went live every hour to announce new prizes and winners, it was really fun!
1️⃣5️⃣ The Love Letters
OK, I may have just saved the best for last. Because this became our favorite thing from the whole launch experience.
We asked our alumni to write a love letter to a new Incoming student. Then we created a piece of software where our attendees of The Rise could open up and read these love letters.
