As I write this week’s newsletter, we hit Day 30 on a 31-Day Challenge I offered for new Course Creators who were committed to Launching their program in 30 days.
It’s been so cool to watch people go from absolutely ZERO... like nothing, no list, audience, website or offer, to selling out their program in less than 30 days. Students like...
I don’t have 100% accurate data yet, but it’s about 65-75% of Challengers who actually launched, GOT sales! That’s zero to launch in 30 days with your first offer! Not bad!
And lemme tell ya, I learned a TON. I have MORE insights and clarity on what really stops people than ever before.
With over 1,800 entrepreneurs at all different levels participating in this challenge, it was like a science experiment in “Success Principles” and human behavior, and I’ve compiled my most interesting observations below:
The BIGGEST BLOCK of ALL
I ran a big risk asking people to join me on a 30 day challenge... the risk being that most would start... and then never finish.
And... that’s exactly what happened.
As I watch people launch their first offer to the World and FILL it within hours, the MOST COMMON theme of those who did not see “success,” was simply: not finishing the challenge.
Now, I'm not talking about those who are moving at their own pace and taking their time... no. I mean those who just... well, quit.
Somewhere along the line, for every different reason imaginable, people STOPPED.
For these individuals... Life got in the way. Distractions, “fear of tech,” confusion, feeling FEAR, overwhelm or intimidation.
And most who stopped also had a damn good reason WHY they stopped. “It’s Summer Vacation” or “the software I’m using is just no good.”
Some even stopped simply because they noticed they were "behind." Like... no use getting caught up.
If I’m being honest... it pains me. To my core. It’s so hard for me to see.
Especially because I spoke so much to what HUGE breakthroughs would await in sticking it out to the very end.
So, ya it was hard to bear witness to that. That is the Curse of Caring! Haha!
But “stopping” or “quitting” isn’t the issue... it’s what most people do to reconcile it.
Look, if you are on a Path of Entrepreneurship, and you have chosen to play a bigger game in your life... you WILL fall off the horse. It’s inevitable.
The danger lies in the lie we tell ourselves that justifies incongruent actions that go against our very dreams and desires.
It’s the resolution we tell ourselves that hides the truth from our very eyes.
The greatest BLOCK as to why so many more people don’t SEE Success: they don’t show up. They don’t finish the job. And then... they let themselves off the hook.
This is important... but still many will misunderstand what I’m saying.
Let's say I start taking Piano Lessons, and 25 days into these lessons, I QUIT. I quit because I’ve discovered I don’t actually enjoy piano... well, that’s wonderful! I tried it. Didn’t like it. Why continue?!
But, if my DREAM is to play the piano in front of a crowd, and I never show up to my lessons nor do I practice because “I’m just too busy”... what does that say about me, and the power I give to my Word?
...not a whole lot.
Based on preliminary numbers of this 30 day Launch Challenge...
....imagine you have a 60-70% chance of “success” if you simply COMPLETE it... but a ZERO percent chance of success if you don’t complete it...
Would you do it? Would you finish it?
What I am getting at is very simple and plain as day:
Doing the work... taking consistent action... BEING YOUR WORD is 80% of the battle. I know, not some sexy dressed up Success Principle... but true nonetheless.
I share this not because anyone should be judged or shamed for not completing something they start... NO!! No no no!
But rather, to simplify and clarify something that may be missing from your life: INTEGRITY.
Integrity simply means: “my word is the most important thing in my World.”
...because your word CREATES your World!
What if doing what you say... keeping the promises you made to yourself increased your odds of success by 60-70% instantly?
Could it be this simple?
I say Yes!
MOST (like 99%!) of the successful people you see, follow or learn from today HAD failures... most admit those failures MADE them who they are today.
So what preceded those failures?
Action.
They did stuff. It didn’t work. So they did something different. Until something finally worked.
Is that not the way?!
Take action... to completion. It either works... or it doesn't. Either way, you Learn. Pivot. Repeat.
And I get it, not taking action allows you to avoid FAILURE... but it always guarantees you avoid SUCCESS as well.
So, this is interesting...
I share so many advanced and nuanced Principles for Success... Universal Laws that we must work in accordance with to see continued abundance and results... but this one right here is where it all begins:
The Power of Your Word.
You SPEAK. It is so. I said it... therefore IT IS.
That is POWER.
When you do what you say, your WORD has Power. And since you ARE your Word... YOU HAVE POWER.
Then the question becomes...
"What causes me to STOP being in action and being in integrity?"
This is how we learn more about ourselves and how we work.
Whatever THWARTS you from keeping this important promise to yourself, is now your “enemy.”
And enemies a plenty we do have.
Imposter Syndrome, Perfectionism, Over-Complication, Over-Thinking, Closed-Mindedness, People-Pleasing, Self-Sabotage, Fear of Failure, Fear of Success, Attachment, Victim Mentality, Martyr Mentality... the list goes on.
Being your WORD... declaring you will take an action... and then TAKING that action when one of those enemies is staring you down... that is the way.
It’s the antidote that renders those enemies futile. These perpetrators EXIST to FREEZE you. To Immobilize you before you venture out beyond your Comfort Zone.
That’s their job.
The problem is, everything you want exists out beyond in the unknown. That’s living. That’s success.
"Success" isn’t making some amount of money. Getting famous or whatever.
It’s conquering your enemies and discovering more of who you are and what you are truly capable of when you no longer take Council from these Guardians of Your Comfort Zone.
That’s FREEDOM.
The money? Well... the money is just the chips. The real game is: Your Expansion and Evolution!
So this week...
Make some BOLD promises to yourself.
And keep them.
