New Fear, New You?
James Wedmore

👇 TL;DR: This Week in The Digital CEO Weekly👇
âś… A telltale signal that proves you're closer to your next level than you think... but also brings many entrepreneurs to a full stop before they can get there.
âś… A podcast episode breaking down two skills you can master to neutralize fear and stay in motion.
From the Desk of James Wedmore:
It’s easy to feel fired up at the start of the year.
Everything feels possible.
The slate is clean.
The page is blank.
But once that new year novelty wears off… what arrives for most people?
Fear.
It comes with the territory. Newness can be equally intimidating and exciting.
A blank page is confronting.
Maybe you’ve felt it before. You decide you’re finally going after what you want…
And then the doubt creeps in.
You’re second-guessing, hesitating and overthinking…
Maybe even to the point where you stop taking action.
Are you there right now…?
Staring at the starting line, waiting, unsure of what’s the best next move?
Here’s the truth:
Fear is energy.
It’s a frequency.
Heck, it’s even some people’s most listened to station!
If and when it lingers in your field, it creeps into decisions, results, even what you attract (or don’t)!
And it’s also… information.

Instead of trying to push fear away…
What does it have to tell you?
Does it name the stakes? Does it outline what really matters to you?
If you’re brave enough to get curious about fear, you might discover what it protects.
Fear can be a signal…or it can be noise.
The awareness you bring to it matters.
AND in entrepreneurship, differentiating between signal and noise is the whole game.
Because I’ll tell you this, every time I’ve been on the edge of a major leap…
More clients.
More visibility.
More income.
Fear was the first thing to arrive.
Why?
Because beneath fear, you’ll almost always find attachment.
Attachment to a specific outcome.
A specific timeline.
A specific version of how things should look.
…of who you are now and who you’ll need to become to get somewhere new…
And attachment is where we unknowingly give our power away.
This is why one of the most important skills you can develop as an entrepreneur is an equanimous mind and mastery of non-attachment.
Not apathy or indifference.
But grounded neutrality.
Stability.
The ability to stay centered and integrity aligned when challenges come up.
A great way to become more confident… is to focus on building competence. Expand your capacity to hold doubt, fear, adrenaline, risk…without making it mean you’re not ready to make the next move.
In a past episode of The Mind Your Business Podcast, Jenni and I break down exactly how to cultivate this mindset – and why equanimity and non-attachment are two of the most powerful tools you can use to dissolve fear at the root.

I want 2026 to be your biggest year yet.
So let’s get ahead of fear before it has a chance to run the show.
Enjoy,
James
