I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’m writing this the day before Turkey-Day, so the “cliche” is to talk about THREE things:

Black Friday Sales

Launching in December
Typical. But per usual, I have my different take, so let’s get into it!
On Gratitude...
Be grateful every day. Every second of every day.
Period.
Not just on National Holidays or when you get a new journal... EVERY. DAY.
Gratitude is a feeling. A frequency. It is THE frequency of RECEIVING. It communicates to the Universe, “this is amazing, more of THIS right here please!”
It’s so simple. But it can be so hard.
We complain constantly, compare ourselves to others, doubt our dreams that haven’t become reality yet...
We get impatient, frustrated, angry.
And then a bunch of a-holes say, “Hey! Be grateful!”
That’s like pouring whipped cream on top of a pile of big ole dirty diapers.
“Gee, thanks.”
So, maybe this will help?
Gratitude actually begins with the practice of ACCEPTANCE. To choose, accept and BE AT PEACE with what is. Especially the bad stuff... THIS drops the RESISTANCE.
A complaint... an upset... this is your RESISTANCE to what is. An emotional PROTEST of your current reality.
...and it’s futile. A completely useless and unproductive demonstration of your innate POWER.
You never say, “I’m so glad I cried and complained about this unwanted thing for so long! It was the most effective strategy for changing my reality!”
...at least I hope you don’t.
So, as you know, CONTEXT is everything. And if you pull back from your life enough, you realize that upsets, challenges and breakdowns are inevitable. Life IS the good, the bad, and the ugly. And you don't get out alive ...or unscathed.
And then, you chose a Path of Entrepreneurship and running your own business...
Oh! What did you expect?! It would be like one of those 30 second Instagram REELS of someone having overnight riches?!
Give me a BREAK!
You see, RESISTANCE (the antithesis to ACCEPTANCE) perpetuates the lie that you’re NOT supposed to have problems. You’re not supposed to experience challenges.
What?! How else would you grow?!
The reality is, you signed up to DO hard things. So... DEAL WITH IT.
And even more true... just about every other business is WAY harder than our business. If you’re in the digital space, we don’t need to raise capital, hire a dozen employees or pay for inventory, manufacturing and warehouse space.
We get to create content on our friggin’ phones that changes people’s lives. AND... we get the highest profit margins!
How lucky are we?!
So, will you have reels that don’t “hit", ads that don’t convert and customers that don’t buy?
YES. Until the end of time.
And can you also walk forward in perpetuity with a new outlook, that each of these future, inevitable “problems” you will face COME inherent with a path and a business that you once DREAMED of having?
That what you do now, and the progress you’ve made up until this point, is something you (and countless others) probably would have KILLED to have!
...yet we complain.
...and dare I say we take it as far as this:
The Future You and Future Business you desire so badly now, is waiting for you to DROP the misuse of your energy/Personal Power NOW so you can be ready for what is to come.
Because many of my readers have heard me say over the years:
Your Business Grows to The Level of Problems You Are Willing to Handle.
...and if you can’t be in ACCEPTANCE (gratitude) with the problems you handle today, don’t expect anything else to change.
So my friend, gratitude isn’t some virtue to aspire to on a good day. It is absolutely necessary for your life and business to THRIVE.
On Black Friday/Cyber Monday...
I know it’s too late to share my perspective on this (oops!) but at least I’m on record for repeating something I’ve said for YEARS.
Do NOT do a Black Friday (or Cyber Monday) Sale for your digital products! EVER.
That’s gotta be one of the dumbest moves in your business!
Here is my argument compiled in succinct bullet points:

Black Friday shoppers are on the HUNT for the BEST DEALS, so 40-60% discounts trigger the buy... not 10% OFF ("Ooh! Screw $1,000 discount on that new flat screen tv honey, I can save $50 here!").

Discounts and sales massively CHEAPEN your Brand, train your audience to wait for sales, attract the WRONG type of customer for the wrong reasons, AND disrespect all your customers who paid full price.

Everyone else on the planet is doing it. You are just noise, noise, noise in the marketplace, and frankly you just look like you want a quick Christmas Shopping cash grab.
...this is why 95% of Digital Product Sellers report DISMAL “meh” results from BF Campaigns. So, please don’t sell your Soul to the Shopping Gods!
And I know you’re probably saying, “why didn’t you tell me this two weeks ago?!”
...because I wasn’t thinking about doing Black Friday Sales two weeks ago. ;-)
IMPORTANT NOTE: I guess I’ll point out clearly... I’m referring to DIGITAL PRODUCTS... like your signature offer. ONLY.
If you have PHYSICAL PRODUCTS... different GAME! Go hog wild! In fact, last year we sold our PHYSICAL DECKS of Conversion Cards, and it CRUSHED! But anything content, coaching, etc... NO!
DO THIS INSTEAD: For next time, instead of “Black Friday”, pick a random holiday like Halloween or Memorial Day, and run a VALUE-ADD promotion.
By value-add I mean, don’t discount the price, but ADD value to the offer. A bonus, extra coaching, etc. You get the idea.
No one does promotions on these random holidays, so there’s no noise and it’s unique and memorable!
On December...
Ok, so we have like ONE more month to finish the year out strong... but is it too late? With the holidays here, will people even buy?!
Short answer: YES.
...because everyone else is worried about that same question, they DON’T PROMOTE! So, more room for you baby!
I’ve wrapped up $550,000 launches on December 15th! Filled masterminds and coaching programs that generate over $3M OVER Christmas! Like literally having interview calls on December 27th!
Heck! Every year we host our in-person event on December 10th!
It’s a whole MONTH! Don’t waste it! (And don’t get me wrong, spend time with family, do all the things!) but don’t buy the BS that a promo in December is a WASTE of time... it is NOT!
