I JUST got back from four days of masterminding and facilitating with our incredible high‑level clients, and I want to break down and share some of the convos and takeaways.
But I will keep it short, cuz I literally just got back… after driving the “BBD VAN” all the way from California to Sedona. I’m pretty tired, but also committed to getting our weekly newsletter out! So… here we are!
Ok, let’s dive in…
This was four days with two groups of our Personal Brand and Online Expert Clients, and a TON was discussed and shared, but I’ll give you the highlights, the patterns, and the most important takeaways:
The AI Noise Causing Fear Everywhere
This is a much bigger convo we get to have soon, but short version: When you start paying close attention, you’ll see intentional narratives that drive a ton of fear… and as you know, FEAR is your worst advisor. A lot of people don’t want AI (probably most of your audience), and a lot of people are in their fear about AI. I understand that there is a lot of change and uncertainty, but I HOPE you see the opportunities ahead… MASSIVE ONES! Our clients are seeing their BIGGEST quarters (Q1) of their entire career… and it’s NOT because they became an “AI business.” The opposite, actually. It’s ironically doubling down on what they’ve been doing. Which brings me to…
Distraction is the Enemy
Such a simple reminder and a powerful pattern I saw emerge, was how distraction will be your biggest enemy right now. Some got distracted; some were considering distractions, but the most successful in the room have kept their head down and focused on working the process that we’ve been teaching them. They aren’t chasing shiny objects or new opportunities… just doing what they know works… and getting BETTER at it, especially…
Alex Paulos and Tracy Goodwin on AUTHENTICITY
Our resident expert facilitators, Alex and Tracy, tag‑teamed a powerful conversation around bringing out more authenticity in your business. Not as a luxury or a virtue, but as an absolute necessity. I started the event by sharing the huge gap and opportunity I see that AI is causing. AI is causing the great average of mediocrity.
You see, most people are lazy, so they’ll avoid doing deep and important work and outsource their thinking and their content to AI. Your market is already aware of this, and they’re already sick of it. Which means AI is causing the public to demand more from you. The best way you can get better is by bringing out more of your authenticity.
As Tracy put it, Authenticity is the soundtrack of your soul. And Alex shared, authenticity occurs when you are no longer hiding parts of you from the world.
When authenticity is present, connection becomes possible. And in an ever‑disconnected world, connection is KEY… especially if you want sales.
AI Tools that are Too Cool for School
With that being said, there have been some really cool tools and uses of AI being shared. When using them to get the busy work off your plate or improve efficiency and workflows, you can do more of the most important work required by you.

- ClaudeCoWork's new design features for Keynote Presentations and IG Carousels
- ClaudeCode for Programming Simple Software and Apps
- WisprFlow for quick Talk-to-Text on your 'puter
- GetViktor - Cool AI Agent that integrates and talks with all your existing apps
- NotebookLM - we are using it to upload content then turn it into pdf summaries - pretty cool!
What I shared that's working
I shared a ton over those four days, but I’ll leave you with two cool tactical money‑makers that I’ve been excited about:
THE BETAMAXX - The easiest launch strategy we’ve ever done! +$250k with this method, and it’s two emails and a checkout page. We call it the BetaMAXX, and it’s what you do AFTER your Beta to keep the sales rollin’ in! I’m working on flushing this whole process out now and adding it to BBD shortly!
The Upsells That CRUSH - Lately, we’ve been having some fun testing out one‑click upsells and have had some success with two: both of these are for a recurring monthly revenue offer. We offered a lifetime upsell and an annual upsell. The LIFETIME converted at 7.5%. The Annual at 22%!
Adding Software to BBD - I’ll also talk more about this in future newsletters, so keep an eye out for that one, but you’ll see how we’re adding some cool software tools and resources to the Business By Design portal this year that will really help our members. Obviously, AI coding is making that so easy.
Ok! Obviously there was so much more coming, but those were the things on the top of my mind as I was driving home and reflecting on the week. More important than anything I shared in this newsletter was the importance of great people up to great things coming together to connect and support each other. You can just tell everyone in that room left with a bigger vision, more courage, and a willingness to take risks and try new things… plus they left with friends and closer relationships!
