[30Daysto30K] Day 14 -Your VIP Offer
Inside BBD, I speak a ton about the concept of the Ascension Model. I ask students to map out their entire Ascension Model "first" so they have a long term vision of their product suite and offerings. I don't recommend CREATING all these products at once (one thing at a time!), but having a plan in place allows you to be more strategic.
The True Pscyhology of Pricing
Most new entreprenuers screw up the whole pricing thing. They live into questions like "what would people be willing to pay for something like this?" BAD question. Cuz the answer is: as little as possible.
Instead, understand that PRICE...
...determines the BUYER.
Let me give some examples...
I just watched a lil TikTok video of a guy who runs a business in Vegas cleaning and servicing private jets. He charges $5,000 an hour. ...for cleaning. Not maintance and repair... cleaning.
His clients are Billionaires that need the inside of their jet prepped at 2am in the morning for a "last minute flight" leaving at 6am. The billionaire doesn't just have the money, but they understand these are write-offs that allow for convenience. ...maybe they are "woo-ing" a potential client and closing a BIG DEAL worth millions?! They need that jet looking prestine, and they are willing to pay for it.
The price you charge DETERMINES the client you attract.
I'll give a personal example that just occured on our honeymoon: Jenni REALLY wanted a watch while we were in Paris. A sentimental symbol of time that she could wear for the rest of our lives that had a story attached to it.
She is so sweet... she found a "cheap" option... and she found a "medium-priced" option. I was underwhelmed. My thinking was: if this is truly a special gift that you want to cherish for the rest of our lives, then "go big or go home."
I wanted the best. (important: best doesn't always mean most expensive! Best simply means... the best! And when you want the best, you don't let price get in the way)
So... we found it. The best of the options. And yes, it cost more. but in my mind, the "extra cost" was neglibile for what we got... for knowing I got her what she truly wanted and deserved.
...I say this, to give a peek into the pyschology of the "1% VIP Buyers" that exist in your marketplace. It's for this reason, 5 Star Hotels exist... First Class Seats on airlines... and Michelin Star Resuratants...
SOME people will pay considerably more for the PREMIUM Experience.
So... why don't you have that 5-Star Offer?
This is so simple... and frankly I think EVERY student should put this in place... and do it now. And... do it from the mindset of "I don't even care if no one ever buys this!" Why? Because it's a PRICE ANCHOR or reference point for the rest of your stuff.
So, here's the process:
Step 1: Take a moment to think about or write down anything that describes your potential VIP Client. They have the money... the stakes are higher for them... time is unbelievably valuable to them... you get the idea.
Step 2: Identify what problems THEY need solving.
Step 3: Identify the MOST EFFECTIVE, PREMIUM, INCREDIBLE ways you could solve those problems for them. Like if you pulled out ALL the stops, what would you do?
Step 4: Identify highest possible price you could ever charge for this!
Some Examples...
I charge $15k for a 1-Day VIP Session in-person with me. And $30k for a 12-month 7-Figure Mastermind.
I know many who charge $5-8k for an in-person small group retreat. Others that do a full done-for-you service for thousands!
...you get the idea.
This is your most premium, VIP offer for your top 1% clients.
Then, you have an opportunity to put THIS on your website. (And frankly, it should be an Application-Only Process)
And then... mention it. Let your audience know this is what you charge. Just... mention it whenever you get the chance. Don't PITCH it. Mention it.
This is creates Authority... a Price Anchor... and allows your VIPS to step forward and pitch themselves to YOU.
That's it. Identify your VIP offer. Reference it on your website, and mention it frequently.
...and yes you can run specific campaigns (email and social) to your warm audiences to promote this VIP offer, but that's another convo for another day. For now, it's simply about HAVING this in place.
