Staying in the same vein as "low-hanging fruit," the next place to look is a Quick Cart Promo. If there is something just "evergreen" (always for sale) on your website... SHUT IT DOWN.
And turn the SHUT DOWN into a campaign that makes you sales!
"But James! My market is different, they need to be able to buy any day at any time!"
JAMES: "that thinking is also why you are not making any sales... so what do you have to lose?!"
Look, I didn't make the rules, I just know them, I play by them, and it works. So, rule 1: NO ONE just flippently buys digital products from your website like they're buying socks on amazon.
Courses, Content, Coaching... it's DIFFERENT. VERY DIFFERENT. And if there isn't URGENCY... (a reason to buy now) MOST people don't buy.
This is evidenced by the fact that EVERY SINGLE LAUNCH, promotion or campaign in the history of the Internet experiences 50-70% of sales come the LAST DAY. ...the last few hours of the last day.
Why? Well, that's a lot to unpack here, many reasons, but the biggest: the average person avoids making big decisions until it is very important... until it's a priority. Creating a deadline... or urgency... or scarcity TURNS the decision into a priority. It communicates: "hey, you need to decide... now!"
In other words, you CREATE an environment where your prospect must do the thing they've been avoiding: CHOOSE!
As long as I can avoide making a decision... I will. "Not yet. Maybe later. Lemme think about it." ...you get the idea.
So... IF you have something available to the public right now, like I could go to your website and just buy it, deploy the QUICK CART CLOSE PROMO (located inside BBD) and close it down!
And then...
BONUS: What to do if you feel like your audience just needs it now!
Some of my clients really resist this notion of "closing the doors," because of the nature of their niche. For example, Sleep Coaches that help babies sleep through the night KNOW their clients don't want to wait 90 days for the next launch of their product. If you haven't slept in 3 days, you are DESPERATE and you need a solution now!
Great! That's why my clients create 15 min "on-demand" autowebinar funnels that delivers the messaging, makes the offer and... (wait for it... wait for it!). ...a DEADLINE! Problem solved!
Other clients use a Waitlist Funnel. Imagine having a "doors closed" page where people can get on a Priority Waitlist and be notified when the doors open again... THEN you make them a quick offer to join through the back door. Give them (wait for it....!) 48 hours to access a secret link to get in!
See, there's ALWAYS a way!
But from today on forward, PLEASE always remember: people NEED a COMPELLING reason to buy now... so give it to them! The doors are closing, the seats are filling up, the price goes up, the bonus goes away, the class is starting... WHATEVER! It doesn't matter... as long as it creates some form of true scarcity or urgency!
