[30Daysto30K] Day 16 - How to Sell High-Ticket Offers
"High-Ticket" is anything that ain't cheap. In every market across every industry what constitutes "high-ticket" is different. But it usually consitutes anything from $5,000 up. But I'll let you decide what you think is high-ticket in your industry.
Having a "high-ticket" OFFER is recommended. Especially if it is "semi-scalable" like a group coaching program.
And obviously for the last few days I've spoken about "backend offers," VIP offers and having an Ascension Model in place. So... you have many options.
But I want to discuss HOW to sell a High-Ticket Offer.
Recently, we ran an Expert Panel at one of our 7-Figure Mastermind Retreats on this very topic. 5 Experts with very successful businesses all got up to discuss their strategies. And guess what they ALL had in common:
Every single one of them used an Application Process to sell their High-Ticket Offer.
As they say, "success leaves clues," so this is a pretty big clue right here.
The Application Process
When done properly, the application process changes the Sales Pyschology. It subtly communicates, "this isn't for just any one. This is intimate. Special. Exclusive." and most powerfuly, the APPLICANT must now sell themselves to YOU.
And frankly, until you are coming with this ENERGY in your business, you probably won't ever make the sales you desire or deserve. If you truly are an EXPERT... why are you trying to convince others? Sell yourself? If you know your shit, and your time is limited, people need to convince YOU as to why you should work with them over anyone else that wants to work with you.
So, the TLDR of High-ticket Sales: consider the strategy of using an Application Process.
If you do, here's a process you can follow (note: I detail all the specifics out inside my Mastermind Launch Process inside BBD!)
Phase 1: Build Interest
Using a Priority Waitlist Page, invite people to "opt in" to that interst list so you have a great segnment. You can ALSO reach out to people that you think would be a great fit for this program, and invite them to apply.
Phase 2: The Application
Use a simple application that asks people to qualify and sell themselves to you (ex: Please share why you feel like you would be a great fit for this program)
Bonus: you can add a follow-up interview as well. We do this for our mastermind program.
Phase 3: Announce Who Got Accepted
In this phase, you are sharing the GREAT NEWS with your accepted applicants! It's not "hey, let me sell you, give me your money." It's "Congrats, you made the cut! You've been accepted!"
It can be that simple.
Now... I'll add what I think is the most important piece: take the application process seriously. Be willing to DECLINE people who aren't a right fit. In other words, don't make this a fake application process where anyone and everyone can come in... that defeats the purpose.
Every year I turn away a LOT of people to our 7-Figute group. A lot. And people know that. And some that get "Rejected" still re-apply the following year!
That's as simple as I can make this process for you. And like I said, I detail out the specifics inside the Mastermind Launch Execution Guide. And you can obviously ADD layers to this... like informational webinars... social campaigns etc. But the core strategy remains the same: build interest, have interested people apply, and make your final selections.
But I think the bigger message is: YOU SHOULD BE SELECTIVE. This is about owning your Authority. Having boundaries. Valuing not just your time and energy, but who you choose to invest that time and energy in.
THAT is powerfully magnetic. When it's true and authentic. You can't fake it.
And this is how I operate. I'm not driven to "make more money" I'm driving to do my part to the highest caliber clients I can attract. So I won't give my power away or waste my time with people that don't come to the table READY to kick some ass. I think you should be operating the same way.
